I told him to dump Dynamic Difficulty for that reason. The CPU throws a ton of meatballs down the centre of the plate so the pitches are there to hit but it means you can't work the count at all because everything is a strike and if he gets a few hits it's followed quickly by a bunch of pop-ups and grounders and the difficulty slides back down. Whatever he tries he can't get out of Beginner level now. It started at Rookie but he had a bad game (and with the slider set to 10 so it changed quickly) it dropped to Beginner. I have a friend who is new to The Show and is using Dynamic Difficulty. Sent from my iPhone using Operation Sports Like I said I’ve been playing on rookie mode in capture most of the time so far (rookie so I can get through it faster).

I haven’t played much but I’m up to veteran plus hitting and veteran pitching I believe as of now. Yeah that’s what I was wondering also, regarding difficulty not climbing.

There have been others who have been unable to climb on dynamic here on the forums, but did just fine playing and higher difficulties when they chose them.

I play on Veteran now, but even then with a lot of slider settings to make pitchers more strategic. This is fine for zone, but for Directional it will lead to a lot of early swings, where directional is weakest, and a lot of easy outs and ridiculously low pitch counts, I was made a victim of the lower difficulty settings for years. What batting interface are you using? Dynamic is really bad for Directional because the difficulty effects the pitcher strategy, leading to way too many meatballs on lower difficulties.
